Prairie District Lofts In The South Loop

prairiedistrictlofts_interiorWhile preserving a relic of Chicago’s industrial past and re-creating loft-style living in the south loop, Prairie District Lofts provides buyers with an excellent opportunity to live in this emerging neighborhood

Located near great ethnic areas such as Chinatown, Little Italy and Greektown, the dining and entertainment options are as vast as they are diverse.

The building is a conversion from 116 rental units varying in 84 different floor plans giving Chicago new home buyer’s plenty layout choices and finish-customization options.   Layouts include simplexes, duplexes and triplex units with many featuring spiral staircases in these maintenance free homes.   The units range from the $230′s for a 1 bedroom to the mid $500′s for 3 and 4 bedroom lofts.  With most of the units sold, potential buyers need to get to the sales center quickly for their chance to own one of these beautifully-unique lofts.

The Prairie District Lofts is a restoration of an existing residential building by the award-winning developer Frankel & Giles, who have been working in the South Loop since their first development in 1994.   Their company, Kargil Development, in 2003 won the ‘Best Adaptive Reuse’ by the Chicago Sun-Times in 2003 for their 888 S. Michigan Avenue project.  Another high-profile project that soon will be featured here on Chicagoland Real Estate Forum is their X/O Condominiums towers that are located near the Prairie District Lofts.
