Winthrop Club Condos In Evanston Nears Completion
Chicagoland Real Estate Forum recently had the pleasure of taking a tour of the almost completed 15 story Winthrop Club tower in downtown Evanston. Bob Horner of Winthrop Properties, the developer, gave us a personal tour of some of the floors of the building. We started on the penthouse floor with the 4 most lavish units. Sizes range between 2,000 and 3,500 square feet, these exclusive residences have some of the most spectacular views of the area and including 700 square feet of outdoor terrace space. Mr. Horner was pleased at the views generated by the design and orientation of the building. “Every unit in the Winthrop Club can see the lake and each residence offers a unique view,” said Mr. Horner.
The building is a registered United States Green Building Council (USGBC) LEED Gold standard, designed to meet the toughest of resource and energy efficiency. Located just south of the intersection of Maple and Church streets, this green building is walkable to everything. So walkable in fact, if you go to walkscore.com and put the address in the search box, viola, the location scores a remarkable 100 out of 100, a ‘walkers paradise’!
The Winthrop Club is expected to be ready for it’s first resident by the middle of next week. To get a glimpse of this incredible building, take a look at their impressive sales center just north of the building at 1707 Benson. Here you can tour a scale model of its typical 2 bedroom, 2 bath units completely furnished and finished to the building’s luxury standards.
