Former Bulls Player’s Burr Ridge Home In Foreclosure

The Curry Home

The Curry Home

According to Sports Pros(e), a Chicago Sun-Times blog, Eddy Curry’s home in Burr Ridge is in foreclosure.  The once highly rated 6′-11′ star, drafted 4th overall in 2001, who has had trouble on and off the court, seemingly can’t escape his past in Chicago. Bayview Loan Servicing filed the foreclosure notice on the home against Curry, his wife, Patrice and a host of other entities.

Understandably, this home hasn’t felt the same for the Currys after the July 2007 robbery where Eddy and his family were tied up while the intruders stole their personal possessions.

The Curry’s reportedly took out a $3.7 million loan on the home and is currently over $200,000 behind in mortgage payments.   Curry is a Chicago native and is also reported to be suing his one time business manager for the right to turn over Curry’s financial documents to him.  The man charged, Lamont Carter, managed Curry’s business affairs from 2005 to 2008.

Curry now plays for the New York Knicks and is an eight year veteran of the NBA.
