Toll Brothers Hosts Helping Hands 5K In Elgin
Next weekend on Saturday, August 29, 2009, Toll Brothers luxury home builders will be hosting the Helping Hands 5K race and 2-mile fun walk to benefit the Community Crisis Center and the Boys & Girls Club of Elgin.
Hosted by Toll Brothers, America’s luxury home builder, the 5K race starts at 8:00 a.m. Entry fees for the race are $20 before August 21st and $25 after August 21st or on race day. The the race and walk begin at 8:00AM and 8:05AM respectively. The 2-mile walk takes off with entry fees of $15 per individual or $30 for the entire family (maximum 4 people). All proceeds will go directly to both organizations. Register online at BoysandGirlsClubofElgin.org or in person weekdays from noon to 5:00 p.m. at The Boys & Girls Club office at 355 Dundee Ave. in Elgin. You can also register every day from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Toll Brothers’ Model Home at Bowes Creek Country Club, 3511 Tournament Dr. in Elgin. Everyone is invited to enjoy refreshments following the race.
The event will take place at Bowes Creek Country Club, a new community built by Toll Brothers. The 616-acre community features a Rick Jacobson-designed golf course and full-service clubhouse. The site plan consists of 931 new luxurious homes and townhomes as well as active-adult ranch homes. Home prices range from the mid-$200,000s to the mid-$500,000s. To get to Bowes Creek Country Club from I-90: Exit Randall Road South and travel 6 miles to Hopps Road (Bowes Road bridge construction through August). Travel west on Hopps Road 1 1/2 miles until the road curves north and turns into Nolan Road. Proceed on Nolan Road 1 mile until it ends. Turn left on Bowes Road.
