The Energy and Environmental Building Association (EEBA) will be holding the “Houses That Work” Seminar on December 1, at the Medinah Shrine Center in Addison. This all day event will be presented By Justin Wilson, a EEBA Certified Trainer and is sponsored by the Home Builders Association of Greater Chicago (HBAGC), EMERCOR and CMHC SCHL.
Offered in collaboration with the Energy & Environmental Building Association, Houses That Work is a concise look at the house-as-a-system and the re-engineering process for improved building performance. Learn from the thousands of homes successfully built using Building America practices and view case studies that demonstrate improved performance and efficiency by as much as 50% more energy efficiency with minimal increase in cost. Regional examples and case studies will provide you with concepts and applications that you can immediately apply to your business.

Houses That Work:
- A full day building science program for building professionals
- Learn ways to improve the performance, efficiency, durability, safety and health of homes
- Apply the fundamentals of air, heat and moisture flow to make better material and methods decisions
- Apply building science to attics, walls, windows, foundations and HVAC components to create high performance homes
- Identify the building process changes needed to cost effectively implement high performance homes
- Summarize the successes of other builders who have benefited from implementing high performance and green home strategies
