Former Blackhawk Rents Out Lake View Home
Former Chicago Blackhawk Kyle Calder has rented out his Lake View home for less than he wanted.
The left winger paid $1.56 million for the brand new house in 2006, a few weeks before he was traded to the Philadelphia Flyers.
The brick and limestone estate, located at 1307 W. Wellington in Chicago, has 5 bedrooms and 3.5 baths. Fully furnished, it includes 2800-square-feet of living space, 3 fireplaces, Viking kitchen appliances and a 2.5-car brick garage.
Calder had asked for $7000 a month in rent but has settled for $6000. A native of Mannville, Alberta, he now plays for the American Hockey League’s Toronto Marlies.
