Get New Construction and $10,000 in Minooka

There is a cash incentive to buying new construction from Smykal Homes in Minooka.

Buying a new home at River's Edge Landing in Minooka could net you $10,000.

The developer has partnered with the village to offer buyers $10,000 after closing on a newly constructed home in this southwest suburb.

To receive the incentive, buyers must close by Dec. 31. Sign a contract by April 30 and a buyer could also benefit from the homeowner’s tax credit.

“Because this is completely independent of the federal tax credits currently being offered, first-time buyers could receive as much as $18,000 in financial incentives and qualifying move-up buyers could see as much as $16,500,” said Patrick Brennan, Minooka’s village president. “And, unlike the federal money, our incentive carries no restrictions on income or the cost of the home.”

River’s Edge Landing, a community of 180 single-family homes near the DuPage River, is Minooka’s Smykal Homes development. Prices start at $199,000 for a 2,078-square-foot, 3-bedroom, 2.5-bath home; a 2,479-square foot model with 4 bedrooms and a first-floor den starts at $236,000.

All homes have master suites with walk-in closets, master baths with dual vanities, gourmet kitchens, two-car garages and partial basements. The developer touts efficient floor plans, quality craftsmanship and state-of-the-art sustainable materials, as well as an in-house architect to help personalize your home.
