Local Builder Drives the Boat at Labor Day Weekend Ski Show

If you wonder what home builders do in their free time, here is one builder with an interesting hobby! McHenry County new home builder Roger Gerstad is one of the boat drivers for the  award-winning Wonder Lake Water Ski Show Team.  The team’s final show of the season takes place on Labor Day weekend Sunday, September 5 at 4 p.m. The shows is FREE and will take place on the east side of Wonder Lake (Wonder Lake, Il) at the end of Hancock Drive.

The team recently competed in the 2010 National Show Ski Tournament in Wisconsin Rapids WI.  They won a number of titles: including first places for best Barefooting, Ski Jumping, Swivel Skiing, Towboat Driving, and Overall show.  This is the forth time the local Wonder Lake Team has secured the National title since their first victory in 1996.
